Jaime Joshi Elder: Writer, Publicist and Podcaster

I’m Jaime.

I was born in the UK but have lived in the ungovernable humidity of South Florida for over three decades and consider it home.

If I’m not writing or working, I’m color-coordinating my Google Calendar, wrangling a kindergartener, co-hosting the pro-wrestling comedy podcast Ring The Damn Bell or in the kitchen trying to figure out if I should add one more chili (the answer to this is yes - always).

• Home Base: West Palm Beach, Florida but I keep trying to convince my husband we need to live in Northeast Los Angeles, the Pacific Northwest or North London.

• The Crew: I live with my husband and two kids - one human and one German Shepherd-Mastiff-Great Dane. Sometimes, they’re all pretty much the same person. Especially when there’s a soccer ball involved.

• Sports Allegiances: I bleed Arsenal Red, cry Dolphins Aqua and Orange and every two years, I become weirdly, damn near jingoistically English in my support of the Three Lions.

• Desert Island Media: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang; endless reruns of 30 Rock, Justified, Happy Endings, New Girl, and SVU (where it becomes clearer every day that Stabler was a terrible cop); and a soundtrack fueled by Springsteen, The Gaslight Anthem, Olivia Rodrigo, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac and Angus & Julia Stone.

• Fun Fact: One time, at Sunfest, I saw The Bangles and Susannah Hoffs looked right at me. I’ve never been more in love or the same since.
